She leaves me
I have no rest, she has taken that
Dead candles now sit
lifeless and silent

She leaves me
And one more slap in the face
as she says goodbye
what a black goodbye

She leaves me
off to that foreign land
that most people hate
to live her life
what a dangerous life

She leaves me
with anger
with loss
without want for the past

She leaves me
I say goodbye
goodbye to her
goodbye to me

So i stuff myself
with a bitter taste
and i hate that taste
But its all i have

And when I am full
and ready to burst
is when I can look upon myself

She's left me
As I am
alone and sore
with a bitter past

She's left me
and i'm all i've got
and I know I must not
leave the self that she knew

She's left me
and she knows not
that she had a shot
and she shot me well

For her ignorance is bliss
and she'll bundle through
this mess she calls life

So I'll send her a kiss
and my face will stay true
for the mess in her life
is a mess in mine too
